Community Colleges Improve Crisis Communications with e2Campus Emergency Notification System
More than a dozen community colleges recently signed up with e2Campus
LEESBURG, VA – April 14, 2009 – Omnilert®, LLC, maker of e2Campus®, the leading emergency notification system for higher education, announced more than a dozen community colleges have recently adopted e2Campus for improved crisis communication.
A partial list of community colleges that have recently implemented an e2Campus emergency notification system include Community College of Beaver County, Forysth Technical Community College, Grays Harbor Community College, Green River Community College, Illinois Eastern Community Colleges, Kaskaskia College, McLennan Community College, Mid Michigan Community College, Montcalm Community College, Oakton Community College, Salem Community College, and Wayne County Community College District.
Dr. Curtis L. Ivery, Chancellor at Wayne County Community College District said, “We are pleased to have implemented the e2Campus emergency alert system. Given the challenges of managing an institution with multiple campuses and students who may take course offerings at more than one location, the e2Campus systems provides a solution to timely notification of emergencies throughout our District. Wayne County Community College District is better prepared now than ever before with e2Campus as a major resource for the safety of those in our learning community.”
Terry Bruce, Chief Executive Officer at Illinois Eastern Community Colleges – Frontier, Lincoln Trail, Olney Central, and Wabash Valley said, “Illinois Eastern is a multi-county community college district with four independent colleges. e2Campus has allowed us to communicate effectively and efficiently with our students and staff. During the bad snow and ice storms of last winter, everyone was easily kept fully informed of college closures.”
“Anne Arundel Community College was our first campus customer back in 2004 and was an important contributor to product development,” explained Ara Bagdasarian, President of Omnilert, LLC. “Community colleges have a unique challenge because the entire student body lives off campus, so reaching the population with urgent news is difficult. e2Campus was designed with this challenge in mind and continues to address the needs of community colleges everywhere as witnessed by our newest clients.”
