e2Campus Options

e2Campus Text Service. This is the standard service.
e2Campus notifications are sent to all text end-points: mobile
phones with SMS, Blackberrys, e-mail accounts, web pages,
and text pagers.
e2Campus Voice Service. This option allows schools
to call a phone number, record a message, and blast it to
thousands of recipients voice end-points that include
satellite phones, wireless mobile phones, and traditional
wired phones. Authorized users can broadcast a message to
all subscribers or a particular subset. e2Campus can detect
answering machines and voicemail, so broadcasted messages
do not get cut off.
The Voice Service could potentially be less effective if
phone networks are jammed with callers already during a crisis
(remember trying to make a call on 9/11?). Therefore, subscribers
may never receive the notification in a timely manner. However,
this service upgrade may be required if your subscribers do
not have access to mobile phones or the Internet.
